The soya bean or soybean ( Glycine Max ) is a species of legume widely grown for its edible beans which has numerous uses. It is globally important for both human and animal consumption.

Some common processed foods from soya bean include Soy Milk, Soybean Oil, Soy Sauce, Soy Flour, Tofu, Miso, Tempeh and Soya Protein.
